Police will implement the following special traffic arrangements on February 23 (Sunday) to facilitate the holding of a public procession on Hong Kong Island.
The following road closure and traffic diversion will be implemented from 2.45pm onwards:
A. Road closure
- Eastbound Chater Road between Jackson Road and Murray Road;
- Club Street;
- Un-named slip road next to AIA Central;
- Eastbound Des Voeux Road Central between Pedder Street and Murray Road;
- Northbound Ice House Street between Queen・s Road Central and Des Voeux Road Central;
- Southbound Murray Road between Harcourt Road and Queensway;
- Southbound Cotton Tree Drive between the U-turn slip road of southbound Cotton Tree Drive and Queensway;
- Eastbound Queensway between Murray Road and Tamar Street;
- Northbound Tamar Street;
- Westbound Harcourt Road between Rodney Street and Cotton Tree Drive;
- Drake Street;
- Eastbound Harcourt Road between Tm Wa Avenue and Tim Mei Avenue;
- Southbound Tim Wa Avenue (except for vehicles heading for Chief Executive・s Office and Central Government Offices car park); and
- Southbound Edinburgh Place between Lung Wo Road and Connaught Road Central.
B. Traffic diversion
- Traffic along westbound Lambeth Walk must go straight to westbound Chater Road;
- Traffic from Jackson Road cannot turn right to eastbound Chater Road;
- Traffic along westbound Connaught Road Central cannot turn left to Club Street;
- Traffic along eastbound Des Voeux Road Central must turn left to northbound Pedder Street;
- Traffic along westbound Queen・s Road Central cannot turn right to northbound Ice House Street;
- Traffic along northbound Ice House Street between Wyndham Street and Queen・s Road Central must turn left to westbound Queen・s Road Central;
- Traffic along westbound Harcourt Road cannot turn left to Murray Road;
- Traffic along eastbound Garden Road flyover must turn left to northbound Cotton Tree Drive;
- Traffic along southbound Cotton Tree Drive must u-turn to northbound Cotton Tree Drive;
- Traffic along westbound Harcourt Road will be diverted to southbound Rodney Street;
- Traffic along eastbound Harcourt Road must turn right to southbound Cotton Tree Drive;
- Traffic along northbound Cotton Tree Drive will be diverted to northbound Tim Wa Avenue;
- Traffic along Lung Wo Road cannot turn to Tim Wa Avenue (except for vehicles heading for Chief Executive・s Office and Central Government Offices car park); and
- Traffic along Lung Wo Road cannot turn to southbound Edinburgh Place.
C. Suspension of car parks
Murray Road Car Park and taxi stands on Drake Street will be suspended from 2.45pm to 5pm.
Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the area. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
