The Transport Department (TD) today (January 29) reminded the public that temporary traffic and transport arrangements to facilitate road resurfacing work will be implemented in Causeway Bay from 9am this Sunday (February 2) to noon next Monday (February 3).
The temporary traffic and transport arrangements will mainly include:
Road closures
-------------
1. The section of Yee Wo Street westbound between Jardine's Bazaar and Pennington Street; and
2. The left lane of Pennington Street between Jardine's Bazaar and Yee Wo Street.
Traffic diversion
-----------------
Vehicles on Pennington Street or Irving Street heading for Yee Wo Street westbound will be diverted via Jardineˇ¦s Bazaar.
Public transport services
-------------------------
A total of 36 bus routes and three green minibus routes operating in the affected areas will be temporarily diverted. The public transport operators concerned will arrange publicity to inform passengers of the temporary arrangements.
Appropriate traffic signs and road markings will be on site to guide motorists. In case of traffic congestion, motorists should exercise tolerance and patience, and follow police instructions.
The TD and the Police will closely monitor the traffic situation and implement appropriate measures whenever necessary. The public are advised to be alert to the latest traffic news on radio and television.
