The temporary traffic and transport arrangements will mainly include:

(1) Temporary traffic arrangements

* The middle lane of Percival Street from a point about 10 metres south of its junction with Hennessy Road to a point about 50 metres south of the same junction will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic except trams.

* The middle lane of Percival Street from a point about 40 metres south of its junction with Foo Ming Street to a point about 75 metres south of the same junction will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic except trams.

* The bus-only lane in Percival Street will be cancelled.

(2) Temporary transport arrangements

* The stop of Green Mini-Bus (GMB) route nos. 36, 36A and 39M at 60 Percival Street will be temporarily relocated southward for about 55 metres.

* The taxi pick up/drop off point near 56-60 Percival Street will be temporarily suspended.

Appropriate traffic signs and road markings will be erected on site to guide motorists. Notices will be put up by related GMB operators to inform passengers of the above temporary public transport arrangements.

Motorists are advised to avoid driving to the affected areas. In case of traffic congestion, motorists should exercise tolerance and patience, and follow the instructions of the Police. People planning to go to the affected area are advised to use public transport as far as possible.

The TD and the Police will closely monitor the traffic situation and implement appropriate measures whenever necessary.  The public are advised to be alert to the latest traffic news on radio and television.
