Opening hours of LCSD cultural venues and URBTIX outlets during Lunar New Year

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will implement special opening hours for its cultural venues and URBTIX outlets during the Lunar New Year holidays, an LCSD spokesman announced today (January 22).

January 30 (Lunar New Year's Eve)

     Hong Kong Coliseum, Queen Elizabeth Stadium and their URBTIX outlets will open as usual.

     Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Hong Kong City Hall, Ko Shan Theatre, Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre, Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre, Sheung Wan Civic Centre, Yau Ma Tei Theatre, Sha Tin Town Hall, Tsuen Wan Town Hall, North District Town Hall, Kwai Tsing Theatre, Tai Po Civic Centre, Yuen Long Theatre, Tuen Mun Town Hall and their URBTIX outlets will close at 5.30pm.

     Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza will be partially closed for a rehearsal of the Chinese New Year Night Parade.

     The URBTIX outlet at the Happy Sound Music Ltd Mong Kok Branch will open as usual. The outlet at HKICC Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity will close at 3pm, the outlet at Hong Kong Arts Centre will close at 3.30pm, the outlets at Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre and AsiaWorld-Expo will close at 4pm, and the outlets at all Tom Lee branches will close at 6.30pm. The outlet at Youth Square will be closed.

January 31 (1st day of Lunar New Year)

     Hong Kong Coliseum and its URBTIX outlet will open as usual.

     Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Queen Elizabeth Stadium, Hong Kong City Hall, Ko Shan Theatre, Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre, Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre, Sheung Wan Civic Centre, Yau Ma Tei Theatre, Sha Tin Town Hall, Tsuen Wan Town Hall, North District Town Hall, Kwai Tsing Theatre, Tai Po Civic Centre, Yuen Long Theatre and Tuen Mun Town Hall will be closed for the day.

     Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza will be closed from noon for a rehearsal and performance of the Chinese New Year Night Parade.

     The URBTIX outlets at all Tom Lee branches, AsiaWorld-Expo, HKICC Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity, Happy Sound Music Ltd Mong Kok Branch, Hong Kong Arts Centre, Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre and Youth Square will be closed.

February 1 (2nd day of Lunar New Year)

     Hong Kong Coliseum, Tuen Mun Town Hall and Hong Kong City Hall Low Block and their URBTIX outlets will open as usual. Hong Kong City Hall High Block will be closed for the day.

     Hong Kong Cultural Centre will open from 2pm to 11pm and its URBTIX outlet will open from 2pm to 9.30pm.

     Other venues will be closed.

     The URBTIX outlets at all Tom Lee branches, AsiaWorld-Expo, HKICC Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity, Happy Sound Music Ltd Mong Kok Branch, Hong Kong Arts Centre, Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre and Youth Square will be closed.

February 2 (3rd day of Lunar New Year)

     Hong Kong Coliseum, Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Hong Kong City Hall Low Block, Sha Tin Town Hall, Tsuen Wan Town Hall, North District Town Hall, Tuen Mun Town Hall and their URBTIX outlets will open as usual. Hong Kong City Hall High Block will be closed for the day.

     Other venues will be closed.

     The URBTIX outlets at all Tom Lee branches and Youth Square will open as usual while the outlets at AsiaWorld-Expo, HKICC Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity, Happy Sound Music Ltd Mong Kok Branch, Hong Kong Arts Centre and Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre will be closed.

February 3 (4th day of Lunar New Year)

     The cultural venues of the LCSD (except Hong Kong City Hall High Block) and their URBTIX outlets will resume normal opening hours. Hong Kong City Hall High Block will be closed for the day, though City Hall Public Library will be open.

      The URBTIX outlets at all Tom Lee branches, Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre and Youth Square will open as usual. The outlet at Hong Kong Arts Centre will open from 2pm to 6pm while the outlets at AsiaWorld-Expo, HKICC Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity and Happy Sound Music Ltd Mong Kok Branch will be closed.

     The URBTIX Internet booking website www.urbtix.hk will maintain normal service, and both the credit card telephone booking hotline 2111 5999 and the enquiry hotline 2734 9009 will maintain normal service from 10am to 8pm daily throughout the holiday period from January 30 to February 3.
