Special traffic arrangements in Wan Chai, Central District and Tuen Mun

     Police will implement special traffic arrangements on January 19 (Sunday) for events held in Wan Chai, Central District and Tuen Mun.

Wan Chai
--------

     A procession will depart Southorn Playground at noon for Central Government Offices via westbound Hennessy Road, northbound Fenwick Street, westbound Lockhart Road, Arsenal Street western pavement (southward), Queensway northern pavement (westward), northbound Rodney Street, Harcourt Road southern pavement (westward), Harcourt Road northern pavement (eastward) and Tim Mei Avenue western pavement (northward).

     Intermittent road closure will be implemented along the procession routes when necessary.

Central District
----------------

     The following traffic arrangements will be implemented to facilitate the holding of the ¡§i-Run Hong Kong Special Marathon 2014¡¨ in Central District.

I. Road closure

From 3am to noon:
- Northern and eastern section of Edinburgh Place, except for vehicles heading for City Hall car park;
- Lung Wo Road between Fenwick Pier Street and Man Yiu Street, except for the slow lane of westbound Lung Wo Road between Tim Wa Avenue and Edinburgh Place;
- Yiu Sing Street;
- Northbound Legislative Council Road north of the car park exit of Legislative Council Complex; and
- Southbound Legislative Council Road.

From 9.50am to 10.15am:
- Northbound Legislative Council Road;
- Eastbound Lung Wui Road between Legislative Council Road and Lung Wo Road; and
- Northbound Tim Mei Avenue, except for vehicles heading for Central Government Offices.

II. Traffic diversion

From 3am to noon:
- Traffic along southbound Man Yiu Street cannot turn left to eastbound Lung Wo Road and Yiu Sing Street;
- Traffic along eastbound Man Cheung Street cannot enter Lung Wo Road. Affected vehicles must turn to northbound or southbound Man Yiu Street;
- Traffic along northbound Edinburgh Place cannot enter Lung Wo Road; and
- Traffic along northbound Legislative Council Road and Fenwick Pier Street cannot turn left to westbound Lung Wo Road.

From 9.50am to 10.15am:
- Traffic along westbound Lung Wui Road cannot turn right to northbound Legislative Council Road; and
- Traffic along eastbound Harcourt Road cannot turn left to northbound Tim Mei Road.

III. Suspension of on-street parking spaces

     All motorcycle parking spaces at the open space along Lung Wo Road (outside General Post Office) will be suspended from 3am to noon.

Tuen Mun
--------

     The following intermittent road closure will be implemented to facilitate Tuen Mun Chinese New Year Celebration Activities 2014 from 11am to 1pm:

- Luk Yuen Street;
- Southbound Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road from its junction with Tsing Yin Street to its junction with Luk Yuen Street; and
- Eastbound Tsing Yin Street from its junction with Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road to a point about 25 metres west of the same junction.

     Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the area. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
