Lands Department releases figures on registered lease modifications, land exchanges and private treaty grants in fourth quarter of 2013
***********************************************************

The Lands Department registered 24 lease modifications in the Land Registry during the quarter ending December 2013, of which 18 were modifications of a technical nature involving nil premium.

Among these 24 land transactions, 18 are located on Hong Kong Island, four in Kowloon and two in the New Territories. The transactions exclude Small House cases.

Another lot was granted by private treaty for the development of a non-profit-making vocational education and training centre in Pok Fu Lam.

A spokesman for the Lands Department said today (January 15) that the land transactions had realised a total land premium of about $392.901 million.

Transaction records of the lease modifications, land exchanges and private treaty grants, including those registered recently, are uploaded to the Lands Department's website (www.landsd.gov.hk) on a monthly basis. Details of the transactions may be obtained by searching the registered documents in the Land Registry.
