Miracle Fun Series to offer delightful puppetry programmes
**********************************************************

Presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the Miracle Fun Series offers a wide range of delightful family programmes from February to April featuring puppetry shows for children.

"Journey of the CAR" by Jumbo Kids Theatre tells the story of CAR who starts a journey in an endless time tunnel. Along the way, he meets other cars and they share their stories. Suddenly, CAR is distracted by the familiar sound of his owner, Toasty. Can CAR and Toasty meet again?

"Fruit Story 2" by Fantasy Puppet Theatre brings patrons into a wonderful world with exquisite hand-made puppets. The Seven Fruits have to be separated  when Peach and Chestnut leave to go to school in the city. Pineapple misses her friends and is determined to visit them in the faraway and busy city, with Grape's support. What will their adventure in the bustling city be like? Will they find their dear friends?

"Funny Puppetry" by Omar Alvarez Titeres Puppetry Arts Company (Argentina) is a creative and funny tribute to the traditional art of puppetry and its greatest creators. This magical performance of small stories features original body puppets, shadow puppets, dance, music and simple characters made from colourful fabrics, cardboard and feathers. The characters will bring laughter, love, humour and surprise to audiences.

"Landscapes" by Mimika Theatre (UK) is non-verbal theatre set inside a beautiful white calico dome, presenting four areas of the natural world.  Audiences travel from the desert to the rainforest and from under the sea to the South Pole. Using puppets, special lighting effects and an immersive sound track, the performance takes young audiences on a very special journey. Mimika Theatre's works are always non-verbal and accessible. They exploit the power of the visual image to communicate with children for whom English is not the primary language. The Theatre has performed this hugely successful show to children in Europe, the USA, Canada, South East Asia and China. Their "Small Worlds" has toured across the world.
