It's time for Lunar New Year shopping. To make your shopping more meaningful, supporting caring consumption by purchasing products and services from the social enterprises will be a good choice!
Seven social enterprises (list at annex) funded under the "Enhancing Self-Reliance Through District Partnership Programme" (ESR Programme) of the Home Affairs Department (HAD) will showcase a variety of products including locally-produced organic vegetables, healthy foods and drinks as well as eco-friendly goods at FarmFest 2014, to be held at the Fa Hui Park in Mong Kok. The event will run from 10am to 8pm from January 10 to 12.
A spokesman for the HAD said that the participation of social enterprises in the event will enhance the public's understanding of social enterprises and encourage them to buy their products and services.
"Our mission is to promote self-reliance and caring consumption. Public support is the key to the success of social enterprises. The simplest and most direct way to support them is through consumption of their products and services," said the spokesman.
