Sick person in custody dies in public hospital

A sick person in custody from Stanley Prison died in a public hospital today (January 6).
The 67-year-old male person in custody was sent to the public hospital for treatment on January 2 because of illness. He was certified dead at 6.08pm today.
The case has been reported to the Police. A death inquest will be held by the Coroner's Court.
The person in custody was sentenced to imprisonment for 15 years and 8 months for an offence of trafficking in dangerous drugs.
