Five popular pop-rock groups - Supper Moment, Chochukmo, Blaster, Deep Inside and SilHungMo - will join with more than 25 youth bands and dance teams to give a high-voltage seven-hour Youth Band Marathon 2014 concert this Sunday (January 5) from 2pm at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza. Admission is free.
With Wong Chi-chung and Jacky Lui as emcees, the concert will feature pop and rock music as well as street dance and jazz dance performances by energetic youth bands and dance groups. In addition, a handicrafts market will be set up to showcase the creativity of the young artists.
The concert will climax with performances by the five pop-rock groups comprising Supper Moment, the winner of the Best Groups Silver Award in Commercial Radio Hong Kong's Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation 2013, acclaimed local band Chochukmo and three emerging groups - Blaster, Deep Inside and SilHungMo.
Youth Band Marathon 2014 is presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, with the Boys' and Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong, Caritas Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups and the Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association as programme partners.
