Approval for Deputy Commissioner of Police (Management) to extend service for six months

The incumbent Deputy Commissioner of Police (Management), Mr Ma Wai-luk, will extend his current term of office for six months to September 16, 2014.
A Police spokesperson said today (December 30), "Approval has been given to extend Mr Ma's service for six months until September 16, 2014 to facilitate a smooth transition of the senior Force management."
Mr Ma is scheduled to retire upon reaching the normal retirement age of 57 on March 17 next year. His term of office has now been extended to September 16, 2014.
