Legislative Council Joint Subcommittee to Monitor the Implementation of the West Kowloon Cultural District Project today (December 17) conducted a site visit on the connectivity of the West Kowloon Cultural District with its surrounding areas.
Accompanied by the representatives of the Home Affairs Bureau and the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, Members arrived at Austin MTR Station to observe the locations of the future links to Xiqu Centre (including underground and deck level). Members were also briefed on the locations of the future M+, footbridge to M+ and the Park. Members then arrived at the West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade to observe the locations of the future M+, the Park and Arts Pavilion.
Members participating in the site visit included Chairman of the Joint Subcommittee, Mr Christopher Chung; Deputy Chairman of the Joint Subcommittee, Mr Alan Leong; Joint Subcommittee members Dr Priscilla Leung, Mr Gary Fan, Mr Chan Chi-chuen and Dr Chaing Lai-wan, and non-Subcommittee member Ir Dr Lo Wai-kwok.
