Police will implement special traffic arrangements from Sunday (December 15) to December 31 to facilitate the holding of an event in Yuen Long.
The following roads will be intermittently closed from 11.30am until completion of the procession on December 15:
- Po Yip Street between Keung Yip Street and Hong Yip Street;
- Hong Yip Street between Po Yip Street and Yuen Long Kau Hui Road;
- Yuen Long Kau Hui Road between Hong Yip Street and Long Yat Road;
- Long Yat Road between Yuen Long Kau Hui Road and Long Lok Road;
- Long Lok Road;
- Westbound carriageway of Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long between Long Lok Road and Tai Tong Road;
- Tai Tong Road between Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long and Kau Yuk Road;
- Westbound carriageway of Kau Yuk Road;
- Sai Yu Street;
-Northbound carriageway of Yuen Long Tai Yuk Road between Kau Yuk Road and Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long;
- Northbound carriageway of Ma Miu Road between Castle Peak Road – Yuen Long and Yuen Long On Ning Road;
- Eastbound carriageway of Yuen Long On Ning Road between Ma Miu Road and Tai Kiu Road;
- Tai Kiu Road;
- Hi Yip Street;
- Wang Yip Street East between Hi Yip Street and Keung Yip Street; and
- Keung Yip Street.
B. Suspension of parking spaces
- The goods vehicles parking spaces on westbound Hong Yip Street between Wang Yip Street East and Po Yip Street will be suspended between 8pm and 8am the following day daily from December 15 to 31; and
- The goods vehicles parking spaces on northbound Po Yip Street between Keung Yip Street and Hong Yip Street will be suspended between 8pm and 8am the following day daily from December 26 to 31.
Any vehicles found illegally parked within the precinct will be towed away without prior notice.
Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions. Motorists are advised to drive with care and patience, and follow the instruction of the Police on site.
