"Dangerous rapids at the Three Gorges" by Lu Yanshao (1909-1993). Lu specialised in landscape painting, especially clouds and water, and his paintings are rich in vivid rhythmical elements. Though drawing on the traditions of Shitao (1642-1707) and "The Four Wangs of the Qing Dynasty", Lu's personal style permeates his works.   Close
