The Chief Executive has re-appointed Mr Chow Chung-kong, Mr Lester Garson Huang and Mr Benjamin Yu as members of the Standing Committee on Judicial Salaries and Conditions of Service (Judicial Committee) for a period of two years with effect from January 1, 2014, a Government spokesman announced today (December 9).
The Judicial Committee is tasked to advise and to make recommendations to the Chief Executive on matters concerning the salary and conditions of service of judges and judicial officers.
The Judicial Committee is chaired by Mr Bernard Chan. Other members of the Judicial Committee are Professor Chan Yuk-shee, Mr Brian Li Man-bun and Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau.
