LegCo Members meet with Tuen Mun and Wong Tai Sin District Council members (with photos)

The following is issued on behalf of the Legislative Council Secretariat:

     Members of the Legislative Council (LegCo) held meetings today (December 5) with members of the Tuen Mun District Council (DC) and the Wong Tai Sin DC respectively in Conference Room 1 and Conference Room 3 of the LegCo Complex to enable LegCo Members and DC members to discuss and exchange views on matters of mutual interest.

     During the meeting with the Tuen Mun DC, LegCo Members discussed and exchanged views with DC members on the following issues: West New Territories Landfill; unauthorised columbaria in Tuen Mun; Tuen Mun to Tsuen Wan Rail Link; Tuen Mun Western Bypass; Bus-bus interchanges on Tuen Mun Road; and collaboration between LegCo Members and DC members. The meeting was convened by Mr Lee Cheuk-yan and attended by Mr Tam Yiu-chung, Mr Chan Hak-kan, Mr Ip Kwok-him, Mr Michael Tien, Mr Steven Ho, Mr Chan Han-pan, Ms Chan Yuen-han, Mr Poon Siu-ping and Ir Dr Lo Wai-kwok.

     As for the meeting with the Wong Tai Sin DC, LegCo Members discussed and exchanged views with DC members on the following issues: medical services in Wong Tai Sin; reselling of public rental housing flats and reviewing of income and asset declaration mechanism; replanning and redevelopment of Ngau Chi Wan Squatter Area; the New Policy of "Universal Accessibility"; and the Revised Development Option of the Comprehensive Development Site in Diamond Hill. The meeting was convened by Mr Wong Kwok-kin and attended by Mr Ip Kwok-him, Mr Paul Tse, Mr Alan Leong, Mr Wu Chi-wai, Mr Ma Fung-kwok, Ms Chan Yuen-han and Mr Ip Kin-yuen.
