The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, met the visiting Minister-President of the Government of Flanders of Belgium, Mr Kris Peeters, at the Chief Executive's Office this afternoon (December 4) to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.
Mr Leung said that Belgium is not only an important trading partner for Hong Kong. The two places also have close co-operation and frequent exchanges in various areas such as innovation and technology, education and creative industries.
Mr Leung encouraged enterprises from Belgium to develop business in Hong Kong to make use of the city's Mainland connections to further explore the business opportunities in the Mainland.
