Sick person in custody dies in public hospital

A sick male person in custody from Tung Tau Correctional Institution died in a public hospital today (December 3).
The 59-year-old person in custody had reported sick and was subsequently sent to a public hospital for treatment on November 22. He was certified dead at 2.18am today.
The case has been reported to the Police. A death inquest will be held by the Coroner's Court.
The person in custody was sentenced to imprisonment for 12 months for conspiracy to defraud.
