Police today (December 2) appealed to the public for information on a fatal traffic accident in North Point on November 27 in which an 82-year-old woman died.
About 7.21am on that day, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 38-year-old man was travelling along westbound King¡¦s Road. When approaching the junction of King¡¦s Road and Shu Kuk Street, the LGV reportedly knocked down the 82-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the woman was rushed to Eastern Hospital where she was certified dead at 1.55pm yesterday.
Active investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island are underway.
