The Hospital Authority (HA) today (November 29) published the biannual issue of the "Medication Safety Bulletin" (MSB), which is one of the Authority's regular publications to promote risk management among healthcare professionals in public hospitals.
The HA spokesman said, "In this issue healthcare professionals are reminded of the importance of reporting 'near miss' incidents, and their value in preventing future incidents and injuries.
"The bulletin also introduces the latest version of the Advance Incident Reporting System, which enables electronic reporting and facilitates trending analysis of near miss incidents."
The publication has been posted on the Internet for sharing with healthcare professionals. Members of the public are also welcome to browse it using the following link: www.ha.org.hk/msb.¡@
The MSB is published every six months, on the last Fridays of May and November. The next issue will be published on May 30, 2014.
