Special traffic arrangements for public processions on Hong Kong Island

     Police will implement the following special traffic arrangements this Saturday (November 30) to facilitate the holding of two public processions on Hong Kong Island.

A. Road closure

From 10.30am onwards:
- Westbound Marble Road;
- Southbound Kam Hong Street;
- Westbound King¡¦s Road;
- Westbound Causeway Road;
- Westbound Irving Street;
- Pennington Street;
- Westbound Yee Wo Street;
- Westbound Hennessy Road; and
- Westbound Queensway.

From noon onwards:
- Eastbound Queensway.

From 1.15pm onwards:
- Rodney Street;
- Westbound Harcourt Road between the exit of Harcourt Garden car park and Tamar Street;
- Fast lane of westbound Harcourt Road between Tamar Street and Cotton Tree Drive;
- Eastbound Harcourt Road between Tim Wa Avenue and Tim Mei Avenue;
- Southbound Tim Wa Avenue (except for vehicles heading for Chief Executive¡¦s Office and Central Government Offices car park);
- Fast lane of Garden Road flyover; and
- Southbound Edinburgh Place between Lung Wo Road and Connaught Road Central.

B. Traffic diversion

From 1.15pm onwards:
- Traffic along westbound Harcourt Road near the exit of Harcourt Garden car park will be diverted to westbound Harcourt Road flyover;
- Traffic along eastbound Harcourt Road must turn right to southbound Cotton Tree Drive;
- Traffic along northbound Cotton Tree Drive will be diverted to northbound Tim Wa Avenue;
- Traffic along Lung Wo Road cannot turn to Tim Wa Avenue (except for vehicles heading for Chief Executive¡¦s Office and Central Government Offices car park); and
- Traffic along Lung Wo Road cannot turn to southbound Edinburgh Place.

     All car parks in the affected areas may be closed at short notice if necessary. In addition, vehicles may not be permitted to leave or enter car parks along the procession routes during the road closure period.

     Any vehicles found illegally parked within the precinct of the special traffic arrangements specified above will be towed away without prior notice.

     Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the area. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
