The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, met the visiting King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden at Government House this afternoon (November 26) to exchange views on issues of mutual interest.
Mr Leung welcomed the King of Sweden, who is visiting Hong Kong in his capacity as Honorary Chairman of the World Scout Foundation. Mr Leung said that the Scout Association of Hong Kong is the largest youth uniformed group in Hong Kong and has helped nurture many outstanding youngsters throughout the years. The Government would continue to support its youth development work.
Mr Leung also said that Hong Kong has been maintaining close ties with Sweden, and hoped that with more exchanges on all fronts, the bilateral relations between the two places will scale new heights.
