Fatal traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan this morning (November 23) in which a 79-year-old woman was killed.

     At about 10.32am, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 32-year-old man was travelling along northeastbound Fat Tseung Street. On reaching near Castle Peak Road, the LGV reportedly knocked down the 79-year-old woman who was crossing the road.

     The woman sustained serious head injury and was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital in unconscious state where she was certified dead at 9.50pm.

     The case will be handed over to the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West.
