The Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) celebrated the first anniversary of Domain, the HA's flagship shopping centre in Yau Tong, and the launch of Santa's Merry Land today (November 23).
Officiating at the launch ceremony, the Director of Housing, Mr D W Pescod, said, "Domain is widely acknowledged to be one of the most popular shopping malls in Yau Tong and East Kowloon, providing an exciting and novel shopping experience to visitors."
Domain is located at the heart of Yau Tong and Lei Yue Mun and is directly connected to the Yau Tong MTR station. It has a total floor area of about 45 000 square metres with eight floors and 150 shops.
Using "Santa's Merry Land" as their theme, the stunning Christmas decorations this year in Domain feature 111 cartoon Santa Clauses, signifying the first anniversary. To celebrate this festive season, a series of interesting programmes will also be held in Domain for shoppers and residents.
The Chairman of the HA's Commercial Properties Committee, Mr Michael Choi, and other committee members, as well as the Deputy Director of Housing (Estate Management), Mr Albert Lee, also took part in the ceremony.
