Home Affairs Bureau to host Asia Cultural Co-operation Forum tomorrow

     The Asia Cultural Co-operation Forum (ACCF) 2013 will be held tomorrow (November 14) with cultural ministers and senior officials from 10 Asian countries joining to exchange views on the theme of "Literature and Cultural Vibrancy".

     The ACCF was launched in 2003 by the Home Affairs Bureau to foster regional cultural co-operation, share good practices and promote culture and the arts.

     The highlight of the ACCF 2013 will be the Asian Cultural Ministers' Panel Discussion session, during which the participants will share their insights and experiences in respect of policy and measures for supporting the development of culture and the arts.

     The Minister of Culture, Dr Cai Wu, and the Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing, will address the session. Other participating cultural ministers or their representatives will also take turns to speak on the theme. The speakers will exchange views with the audience during the question-and-answer session.

     During the ACCF 2013, a library expert workshop will also be held for library professionals from the participating countries to share their expertise in the collection, preservation and promotion of arts and literature.
