Police will implement special traffic arrangements in Central District to facilitate the holding of two events on Sunday (November 10).
(I) The following traffic arrangement will be implemented between 6am and 1pm:
A. Road closure
- U-turn area outside Central Pier No. 7 and 8; and
- Yiu Sing Street.
B. Traffic diversion
Vehicles on southbound Man Yiu Street cannot turn to eastbound Yiu Sing Street.
(II) The following traffic arrangement will be implemented to facilitate the holding of Remembrance Day:
A. Road closure
In addition to the Chater Road Pedestrian Precinct, which will be implemented from 7am
to 11.59pm, the following road sections will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 9am
to noon:
- Westbound Chater Road between Murray Road and Jackson Road;
- Eastbound Chater Road between Jackson Road and Club Street; and
- Jackson Road between Chater Road and Connaught Road Central.
Westbound Connaught Road Central between Cotton Tree Drive and Pedder Street will be closed between 10.55am to 11.03am.
B. Traffic diversion
- From 9 am to noon, vehicles on Lambeth Walk heading for westbound Connaught Road Central will be diverted to travel via Murray Road, eastbound Queensway, northbound Arsenal Street and westbound Harcourt Road; and
- From 10.55 am to 11.03 am, vehicles on westbound Harcourt Road heading for westbound Connaught Road Central will be diverted to travel via Cotton Tree Drive, flyover, westbound Queensway, Queen's Road Central and Pedder Street.
