Police appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in North Point

     Police today (November 6) appealed to the public for information on a fatal traffic accident in North Point on November 4 in which a 80-year-old man died.

     About 3.37pm on that day, a private car driven by a 36-year-old man was travelling along southbound Tong Shui Road. When approaching the junction of Tong Shui Road and King's Road, the private car reportedly knocked down the 80-year-old man who was crossing the road.

     Sustaining serious head injuries, the male pedestrian was rushed to Eastern Hospital where he was certified dead at 7.48am today.

     Active investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island are underway.

     Anyone who witnessed the accident or has any information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers at 3106 8849 or 3661 1620.
