Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tai Po this morning (November 2) in which a 50-year-old woman was killed.
At about 10.05am, a heavy goods vehicle driven by a 50-year-old man reportedly knocked down the 50-year-old female worker when it reversed inside a roadwork site on Tolo Highway.
Sustaining serious multiple injuries, the woman was certified dead at the scene.
The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for further enquiries.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North, are under way.
