The Chief Executive has approved the appointment of Mr Yang Joe-tsi as the Deputy Commandant of the Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force (HKAPF). The appointment will take effect today (November 1).
Mr Yang, aged 55, is a marketing director of a local property development firm. He joined the HKAPF as a Constable (Auxiliary) in April 1989 and was promoted to Chief Superintendent (Auxiliary) in August 2010.
Before the appointment as Deputy Commandant, Mr Yang has been serving as the Chief Superintendent (Auxiliary), Hong Kong Island Region, for three years. He has also been the Chairman of the HKAPF Steering Committee for Special Events and Projects for two years.
