In response to media enquiries on a report on the Manila hostage-taking incident, posted on the website of a Philippine TV station (ABS-CBN) at 8.34pm last night (October 30), a spokesman for the Security Bureau said the following today (October 31):
"The content of the report concerned on the apology in relation to the Manila hostage-taking incident is incorrect. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the representatives of the injured and families of the deceased have not reached a consensus on an apology with Mr Bernardito Ang, the representative of the City of Manila. We will request a clarification from Mr Ang."
