Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Security, Mr Lai Tung-kwok, at a media session after attending the Legislative Council meeting today (October 30):
Reporter: Any breakthrough after the meeting yesterday?
Secretary for Security: I think Mr (James) To, who talked to the press last night, had already told you what he can disclose. Up to now, each party has made known their positions and they are now considering how to bring the matter forward. So, this is what I can tell you at this moment.
Reporter: Are you happy with the progress?
Secretary for Security: After three years, we now see that a meeting took place. This is only a start. We do hope that progress can be seen.
