Special traffic arrangements on Hong Kong Island

     The Police will implement special traffic arrangements on Hong Kong Island on October 27 (Sunday) to facilitate the holding of two events.

The Peak
-----------
Road closure and traffic diversion

1.ˇ@ Phase one (from 8.30am to 9.45am)

-  The section of Mount Kellett Road from house no. 22 to house no. 78 will be re-routed from two-way traffic to one-way traffic in a clockwise direction.

2.ˇ@Phase two (from 9.45am to 11.30am)

-  Mount Kellett Road will be closed to all vehicular traffic;
-  Homestead Road and Jardine Bridge will be intermittently closed to all vehicular traffic; and
-  Diversions on Mount Kellet Road and the section of Plunkettˇ¦s Road between Plantation Road and Jardineˇ¦s Bridge may also be implemented if necessary.

3.  Phase three (from 11.30am to 5pm)
-  The section of Mount Kellett Road from house no.22 to house no. 78 will be re-routed from two-way traffic to one-way traffic in a clockwise direction.

Suspension of parking spaces

-  Metered parking spaces at Mount Kellet near house no. 14 and Peak Road near house no. 100 will be suspended between 6am and noon.

Shau Kei Wan

Road closure

-  Tam Kung Temple Road will be closed to vehicular traffic between 7am and 8.45am;
-  The section of Tung Hei Road between A Kung Ngam Village Road and Oi Lai Street will be closed to vehicular traffic between 7.45am and 8.45am;
-  A small section of the leftmost lane of southbound Oi Lai Street between Aldrich Bay Promenade and Tung Hei Road will be closed to vehicular traffic between 7.45am and 8.45am.
 
Traffic diversion

-  Vehicles on eastbound Tung Hei Road heading for A Kung Ngam and Chai Wan will be diverted via Mong Lung Street, Factory Street, Aldrich Street and Chai Wan Road; and
-  Vehicles on westbound Island Eastern Corrdior heading for A Kung Ngam will be diverted via Nam On Lane, Shau Kei Wan Road, Chai Wan Road and A Kung Ngam Road.

     Any vehicles found illegally parked within the precinct of the above areas will be towed away without prior notice.

     Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic conditions in the area. Motorists are advised to drive with care and patience and follow the instruction of the Police at scene.
