Since the East Wing Forecourt of Central Government Offices (CGO) and the road and pavement outside are fully occupied by participants of the public meeting currently held there, Police are implementing crowd safety and traffic management measures according to the situation at the
scene with a view to ensuring that the event is conducted in safe and orderly manner. When necessary, Police will consider arranging the participants to take part in the public meeting on nearby roads (Legislative Council Road and Lung Wui Road).
It is the policy of Police to facilitate all peaceful public events and safeguard the publicˇ¦s freedoms of expression, speech and assembly while at the same time ensuring public safety and public order. Police appeal to the participants to listen to the instructions of police officers at scene, be co-operative and to express their views in peaceful and orderly manner.
