Annual Playwright Scheme by Prospects Theatre to be presented in November and December
****************************************************

Sometimes called the "back garden" of Hong Kong theatre, the annual project Playwright Scheme by Prospects Theatre is now in its eighth year. The project co-ordinator, Mr Poon Wai-sum, will bring together 22 playwrights for the presentation of 22 new plays, offering a feast for theatre lovers in this year's 2013 Playwright Scheme VIII.

Audiences can expect to be surprised and entertained the creativity and ideas presented. Many of the plays are inspired by everyday life in the hope that those watching will be given cause to reflect on their own life and times.

The scheme does not offer an end in itself. Some of the works can only be performed in a reading format, while works in progress will be partially performed.
