Woman holding charged with infanticide

Police today (October 7) holding charged a 19-year-old woman with one count of infanticide.
Police received a report on October 4 that a baby was found inside a plastic bag in a refuse collection room at Lung Shing House of Lower Wong Tai Sin Estate. The baby boy was sent to Kwong Wah Hospital where he was certified dead. The woman was arrested near Lung Shing House on October 5. She was suspected to have abandoned the baby after she gave birth to him inside a flat at Lung Shing House.
The case will be mentioned at Kwun Tong Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (October 8).
