Proposed amendments to Hiram's Highway dualling works and Ho Chung local access improvement works gazetted

     The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (September 19) on proposed amendments to the Hiram's Highway dualling works between Clear Water Bay Road and Marina Cove, and improvement works to the local access to Ho Chung.

     The proposed amendments are as follows:

(i) revision of the originally proposed limit of works area;

(ii) construction of a slip road with associated speed arrester bed branching off from the northbound slow lane of Hiram's Highway near Mok Tse Che, consequential deletion of a section of the originally proposed footpath;

(iii) temporary closure and reconstruction of a section of the existing carriageway, consequential deletion of the originally proposed temporary closure of a section of the existing carriageway;

(iv) realignment and reconstruction of a section of the existing footpath adjacent to the northbound slow lane of Hiram's Highway, consequential permanent closure of a section of the existing footpath;

(v) temporary closure and reconstruction of a section of the existing footpath and a section of the existing central median/refuge island;

(vi) temporary closure of a section of the existing carriageway; and

(vii) ancillary works including slope works and provision of retaining walls.

     The amendment plan and scheme are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:
