Police appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan

     Police today (September 18) appealed to the public for information on a fatal traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan on September 9 in which a 93-year-old man died.

     About 7.30pm that day, a 72-year-old man was driving a taxi along Kwai Chung Road towards Mong Kok. When approaching Butterfly Valley Road, it reportedly knocked down the 93-year-old man who was crossing the road.

     Sustaining head injuries, the man was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital for medical treatment. He was certified dead at 10.36pm that night.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are underway.

     Anyone who might have witnessed the accident or has any information to offer is urged to contact investigating officers on 2773 5258 or 2773 5200.
