The Government today (September 12) published the report submitted by the Independent Review Committee on ICAC's Regulatory Systems and Procedures for handling Official Entertainment, Gifts and Duty Visits for public inspection.
The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, received on September 2 the report submitted by the Independent Review Committee. As the Independent Commission Against Corruption is investigating complaints in respect of its former Commissioner, the Government has decided to redact certain parts of the report after seeking legal advice in order to avoid any prejudice to the investigation.
The redacted report has been uploaded to the GovHK website (www.gov.hk/irc-icac). The Government will consider releasing the full report after the relevant investigation (or prosecution, if any) has been concluded.
