Police are investigating a homicide and suicide case in which a 55-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man died in Tseung Kwan O last night (September 9).
About 9.07pm last night, Police received a report from a 23-year-old woman that her 56-year-old father was found hanging and her 55-year-old mother was lying unconsciously on the floor in a unit at Choi Ming Court, Tseung Kwan O.
Police officers sped to the scene and found the man hanging while the woman lying unconsciously on the floor with cut wounds on her head and neck. The couple was certified dead at scene. A chopper was seized at scene.
Upon initial investigations, Police believed that the man committed suicide after killing his wife.
Post-mortem examinations on the deceased will be conducted to ascertain the causes of death.
Active investigations by the District Crime Squad of Kwun Tong District are underway.
