Online reservation of tickets and viewing sessions for Bruce Lee exhibition to end soon
************************************************************

The large-scale exhibition "Bruce Lee: Kung FuĦEArtĦELife", which is being held at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the passing away of the internationally renowned martial arts movie star Bruce Lee, has been well received by the public. As of yesterday (September 8), more than 103,000 visitors had been recorded since its opening on July 20. As the summer holiday has ended, the service for online reservation of tickets and viewing sessions specially arranged for this exhibition will finish on September 20.

A spokesman for the Hong Kong Heritage Museum said that online reservation of tickets and viewing sessions was introduced for the first two months (from July 20 to September 20) after the exhibition opened as a crowd control measure. The exhibition will run for five years.

"Over the past month, we saw the effectiveness of the arrangements for online reservation of tickets and viewing sessions in regulating visitor flow. Even on public holidays, visitors could be provided with a pleasant environment for viewing the exhibition under the implementation of the measures. As the number of visitors is expected to go down after the summer holiday, it was decided that the arrangements will no longer be adopted after September 20.

"Starting on September 21, visitors can come and visit the exhibition anytime during the opening hours of the museum and purchase admission tickets direct at the museum's box office. No reservation service will be available. Measures to control overcrowding will be introduced whenever necessary," the spokesman said.

For details of online reservation of tickets and viewing sessions for visiting dates on or before September 20, please visit the website: hk.heritage.museum.

Presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the exhibition is jointly organised by the Bruce Lee Foundation and the Hong Kong Heritage Museum and sponsored by Fortune Star Media Limited, and is one of the highlight programmes of the "Vibrant Hong Kong" theme under the territory-wide "Hong Kong: Our Home" Campaign launched this year.

The Hong Kong Heritage Museum is open from 10am to 6pm on weekdays, and from 10am to 7pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. It is closed on Tuesdays (except public holidays).

To tie in with the exhibition, a 75-minute-long documentary entitled "The Brilliant Life of Bruce Lee" is being shown at the theatre of the Hong Kong Heritage Museum. The documentary will be screened at 10.30am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm and 4.30pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and at 10.30am, 12.15pm, 2pm, 3.45pm and 5.30pm on Sundays and public holidays. The documentary will not be screened on Saturdays, when the theatre of the museum is reserved for Cantonese opera performances.

As the exhibition is classified as a long-term exhibition of the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, visitors will only need to pay the museum's standard admission fees to view the exhibition and the documentary without any additional charges. Standard admission to the Hong Kong Heritage Museum is $10 with a half-price concession available for full-time students, people with disabilities and senior citizens aged 60 or above. Group tickets at $7 each are available to groups of 20 persons or more. Admission is free on Wednesdays.

The Hong Kong Heritage Museum is located at 1 Man Lam Road, Sha Tin. Paid car parking is available at the museum. Those who prefer to use public transport may take the MTR Ma On Shan Line and get off at Che Kung Temple Station, which is within three minutes' walk of the museum.
