Art-lease expands with new studio in Aberdeen (with photo)
**********************************************************

Art-lease.com Ltd (Art-lease) announced today (September 9) the opening of its new studio in Aberdeen, offering a showroom for corporate clients looking for high-grade artworks.

Art-lease is one of the first in Hong Kong to engage in art leasing for commercial space. In 2012, Mr Michael Nock, a long-time resident, bought the company with the aspiration to develop it as a leader in the art-for-lease business in Asia. The company's latest 4,000-sq-ft showroom in Aberdeen is the result, and it is now showcasing the company's latest collections.

The Business Development Manager of Art-lease, Ms Lamia Mahjoub, said that she saw an expanding market in Hong Kong, given the global trend for corporate artworks and the city's concentration of multinational and Mainland enterprises.

"Hong Kong is the third largest art dealing city in the world. Interest in art has become an important phenomenon in Hong Kong. The competition in terms of art leasing companies is relatively small, and the number of offices in Hong Kong is impressive," Ms Mahjoub said.

"We have been enhancing and diversifying our collections, hoping to meet with different demands. In the long run, I am confident we will become a leader in the city and hope to expand to other parts of Asia from Hong Kong, given its international position," she added.

The Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion, Mr Andrew Davis, lauded Art-lease's new showroom. He said, "Art-lease is one of the local leaders in art for commercial lease. Mr Nock is an avid art lover and with his own connections plus the diverse range of companies in Hong Kong, I am hopeful that Art-lease will see its business thrive, and then expand rapidly from Hong Kong across Asia."
