The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, attended the 20th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Ministerial Meeting and a Joint Meeting with Ministers Responsible for Women in Bali, Indonesia today (September 7).
Under the main theme "Enhancing SME Global Competitiveness", APEC ministers discussed three sub-themes - entrepreneurship development for SMEs, increasing access to finance for SMEs, and empowering SMEs to expand to international markets. Mr So briefed the ministers on various initiatives assisting SMEs' access to finance in Hong Kong at the meeting.
Mr So will be back in Hong Kong tomorrow morning (September 8).
