UK digital experience and technology specialist Red Ant opened a new regional headquarters in Hong Kong today (September 5) as part of the plan to strengthen its global strategy.

According to Red Ant's Regional Director for Asia, Ms Elisa Harca, the new Hong Kong office will work strategically with the Shanghai office in forming strategic digital partnerships with key brands in Hong Kong, as well as leveraging relationships with existing clients in China.

Red Ant's team of digital experts offers clients a comprehensive, multi-discipline service. The company, based in the UK, delivers award-winning, innovative technology for digital commerce, engagement and platforms that maximise business results. The Hong Kong base will oversee its Asia strategy, including connecting the Shanghai team with those in London, Geneva and Rio de Janeiro.

Ms Harca said, "Hong Kong is an ideal regional hub for companies with a global reach, and many of our clients are already based here. It made sense for us to open this office to be closer to our clients and provide a more personal service.

"Hong Kong's digital market is thriving and brands are demanding agencies with both international expertise and local insights. It's the best time for us to get a foothold here and expand our business in Asia."

The Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion, Mr Andrew Davis, welcomed Red Ant's presence in Hong Kong. He added, "Hong Kong has the world-class information technology infrastructure conducive to digital industry operators like Red Ant. Moreover, the city is close to Mainland China and other important Asian markets, so being in Hong Kong means that Red Ant is close not only to existing clients but can also easily find new business."
