The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, will leave for Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, in the afternoon on September 8 to attend the Ninth Pan-Pearl River Delta Regional Co-operation and Development Forum and Trade Fair.
Mr Leung will attend the opening ceremony, the High-Level Forum, as well as a joint conference with leaders of the governments of various Pan-Pearl River Delta provinces and the Macao Special Administrative Region on September 9. During the trip, he will also have bilateral meetings with some of the provincial leaders.
Included on the visit will be the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So; the Director of the Chief Executive's Office, Mr Edward Yau; the Director of Information Services, Mr Michael Wong; the Private Secretary to the Chief Executive, Mr Carlson Chan; the Senior Special Assistant to the Chief Executive, Mr Chan Kin-ping; and the Assistant Director (Media), Mr Nick Au Yeung.
The Chief Executive will return to Hong Kong in the evening on September 9. During his absence, the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam, will be the Acting Chief Executive.
