The Secretary for Security, Mr Lai Tung-kwok, continued his visit in Beijing today (September 3).
Leading the Hong Kong Disciplined Services Exchange Delegation, Mr Lai was received by the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Mr Zhang Dejiang, in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing this morning.
Early this afternoon, Mr Lai visited the General Administration of Customs and met with the Minister of the General Administration of Customs, Mr Yu Guangzhou. Mr Lai then visited the Ministry of Public Security where he called on the Minister of Public Security, Mr Guo Shengkun. During the meetings, Mr Lai exchanged views with them on issues of mutual concern.
Mr Lai and the delegation called on the Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, Mr Wang Guangya, yesterday.
Mr Lai will continue his visit tomorrow and return to Hong Kong on Thursday (September 5).
