Shenzhen Wenjindu Port passenger clearance service to resume tomorrow
************************************************************

A Government spokesperson today (August 25) reminded members of the public that the Shenzhen Wenjindu Port Passenger Clearance Area will resume service tomorrow. Relevant cross-boundary coach operators, passengers and private car quota holders should pay attention to the relevant arrangements.

The opening hours of the passenger clearance area will be from 7am to 10pm. The Man Kam To Control Point of Hong Kong will make corresponding arrangements.

Cross-boundary bus services via the Shenzhen Wenjindu Port will resume full operation while clearance services for cross-boundary private cars, which have been suspended, will also be resumed.

Private cars which have been using other cross-boundary control points during the reconstruction period will need to return to the Shenzhen Wenjindu Port for crossing the boundary. The clearance service for goods vehicles will not be affected.

The Transport Department has informed relevant coach operators and private car quota holders of the above arrangements. For enquiries on the traffic and public transport arrangements, please call the department's hotline at 2804 2600.

The Shenzhen Wenjindu Port Passenger Clearance Area has been closed since February 22, 2010 for reconstruction.
