Oil spill incident in waters southwest of Sha Chau

A spokesman for the Marine Department said today (August 20) that an oil slick covering approximately 50 square metres was found in waters about 1 500 metres southwest of Sha Chau at around 11.30am this morning. The Marine Department has tasked its staff with the clean-up operation and it has alerted relevant departments to the oil spill.
