Several beaches in Islands District reopened

Here is an item of interest to swimmers.
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (August 16) that shark prevention nets at Cheung Chau Tung Wan Beach, Kwun Yam Beach and Lo So Shing Beach in Islands District have been confirmed to be functioning properly after inspections. The beaches have been reopened.
However, due to big waves, the red flag has been hoisted at Lo So Shing Beach. Beach-goers are advised not to swim at the beach.
