Following is the transcript of remarks made by the Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Ko Wing-man, after attending a public function this morning (August 15):
Reporter: (On findings of a study conducted jointly by the University of Hong Kong and Zhejiang University on avian influenza A(H7N9).)
Secretary for Food and Health: I noted the results of a research by the University of Hong Kong together with the Zhejiang University, regarding the possibility of human transmission of avian influenza A(H7N9). This is something that our earlier risk assessment has already taken into account. Therefore, all the current infection control measures in the public hospitals and health-care system of Hong Kong have already taken into consideration this particular aspect of possible transmission.
