     The Hong Kong Observatory issued the No. 8 Southeast Gale or Storm Signal at 1.40am today (August 14).

     The Home Affairs Department has so far opened 19 temporary shelters in various districts and 41 people have sought refuge at the shelters.

     According to the Hospital Authority, the 26-year-old woman who was admitted to a public hospital earlier has been discharged after treatment.

     The 1823 Government Call Centre has so far received three reports of fallen trees.

     The Airport Authority Hong Kong reported that 64 arrival flights and 43 departure flights have been delayed; while 45 arrival flights and 49 departure flights have been cancelled.

     No report of flooding or landslide has been received.

     The signal will remain in force in the morning.
